20 East 68th Street to Get Face Lift (hopefully)

Like the ladies who live there, 20 East 68th Street is thinking about getting a face lift. Per LPC's most recent notice of public hearings, 20 East 68th Street is seeking approval to reclad its first two levels and to 'establish a master plan' for its storefronts. The hearing is set to take place on 4/20, which might help move things along depending on the public's interest in recreational drugs.

We're glad to see this otherwise nondescript building take a step in the right direction. Further, we'd be thoroughly surprised if the LPC failed to issue a Certificate of Appropriateness for this project - like we mentioned, on the UES, what's more appropriate than cosmetic upkeep?
