Carlton House: But What About the Low Ceilings?

We're glad to see that the Extell Group - the brains behind the swank renovation at 995 Fifth Ave - snatched up the Carlton House for $170 million. We're sure they'll do a great job with it (word is these rentals/hotel rooms will soon go co-op), but we're most interested to see how they'll deal with the building's low ceilings. Most luxury properties offer ceilings of at least 9 feet - we're pretty sure these fall short of that standard. It could present an interesting challenge.

See the existing real estate in all its low-ceiling glory after the jump.
